Spinalonga. M. Andrianakis (then 13th EBA, now Director, 13th EBA and 28th EBA) reports on the continuing programme of works on the island. The focus in 2000 included the Ottoman market of the 17th and 18th centuries AD and the seaward walls. The start of a thoroughfare was revealed and an Ottoman cemetery cleaned; a marble inscription of Hieronymus Marini of 1651 found in the wall gives a terminus post quem for the final phase of work on the Rangone.
