Portocheli, Bouzaiika (land of V. Balli). E. Sarri (Δ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of settlement remains on a seaside plot on the west slopes of the acropolis of Halieis, close to the northwest arm of the city wall. These remains continue into the sea. Excavation in four trenches revealed: 1) a room with a monumental stone doorway and fourth-century rooftiles; 2) part of a fourth-century complex including a likely workshop room with plastered walls and a plaster floor with a setting for a storage vessel; and 3) a retaining wall of large stone blocks similar to the foundations of the ancient city wall.
