Magnesia (Kladovasilaki property). E. Papadopoulou (ΚΕ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the excavation of two chamber tombs.
Tomb 1: only the lower part of the square chamber was intact, containing four larnakes. Beneath three of them were ten pots and a stone vase. Faience pieces and a faience pin came from the fill.
Tomb 2: only a small part of the chamber was revealed, containing sherds of larnakes and at least two pots.
Elsewhere in the region, E. Kefalidou (ΚΕ΄ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of a Hellenistic settlement on the hill of Tsidos, southeast of the village of Skoulofia, and of a Roman and Late Minoan settlement on the hill of Prophitis Elias in the area of Alpha.
