Description
Stylos. M. Andreadaki-Vlazaki (ΚΕ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports that early Venetian foundations on the Tzigounaki property had destroyed Roman buildings from which only patches of floor remain. At a deeper level lay Archaic and Classical rooms and open areas. In the north part of the excavation, a potter’s kiln was surrounded by the debris of its operation, including pottery which confirms its use in the second half of the seventh century (mostly for large vases), continuing at least the fifth century.
On the Vagionaki property the walls of various buildings are reported with pottery from Minoan through to Classical times.
