Report
Arta. A. Angeli (ΛΓ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports that a Hellenistic (3rd- to 2nd-century) funerary monument with a stele recording the names of the deceased was exposed near the bridge of Arta during work on the bed of the Arachthos river. The water level was lowered by closure of the Imaret dam to enable the work, but its subsequent re-opening submerged the monument again. The peribolos and inscribed stele were revealed, but no burials, and the full extent of the monument remains unknown.
