Report
Kainourgio (property of V. Theodoropoulou). M. Stavropoulou-Gatsi (then Στ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of a disturbed cist tomb during construction at a site 200m from the Kainourgio-Avorani-Panaitolio road intersection, by the exit to Avorani. The cist was lined with terracotta slabs and contained a silver coin and a red figure lekythos of the Agrinion Group, while a black glaze pyxis lid, part of a lekythos, two iron nails and several black glaze sherds were recovered from the construction debris. A tile-grave, without goods, was visible in the section and at least one more had been destroyed by the construction activity.
