Vouliagmeni - Laimos - 2008
Vouliagmeni - Laimos. Mairy Giamalidi (Ephorate of Antiquities of Piraeus and Islands), Amygdalia Andreou (Ephorate of Antiquities of Piraeus and Islands), Ioulia G. Lourentzatou (Museum of Cycladic Art, Athens) report the following:
In the peninsula of Laimos, in 2008, in the framework of the project "Landscaping of the Hotel Complex ASTIR PALACE VOULIAGMENI AXE", under the supervision of the former KST ́ EPKA, ancient architectural remains were located on the north. Further investigation and excavation confirmed the use of the area by the Ptolemies in the Chremonidian War and brought to light a new prehistoric site. Architectural remains and movable finds (ceramics, polished stone tools, obsidian repellent stone tools, a clay figurine, "buttons" and shells) confirm the existence of a residential installation.
