Description
Municipality of Messatidos, Monodendri Krinis (property of O.-A. Christogianni). Lambrini Papakosta (ΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of a pear shaped burial pithos, 1.51 m. in length and 0.67 m. in diameter. It was placed sideways with the stomion facing south and sealed with two vertically placed flat stones. A few bones and pottery sherds were collected from the interior.
