KERKYRA - Garitsa - 2005

Garitsa, Lawcourt site. G. Riginos (Η’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of a further seven tombs on a site which has recently produced 500 Archaic to Hellenistic graves. The tombs, closely grouped (within an area of 75m²), comprise three free burials (with the deceased laid on the ground in supine or contracted position) without goods, a pithos burial, two pithoid vessels in which no human remains were discovered, and a tile-covered cist containing two phialae, a lekythos and a one-handler.
