Description
E. Venizelos Avenue (property of E. Koutraki and M. Zougri, O.T. 95). M. Pologiorgi (ΚΣτ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the excavation of house remains just inside the line of the Classical and Hellenistic city wall. These comprise house walls of unworked stones and reused material, with plaster on some interior walls. Portable finds include a stamped amphora handle (with a bunch of grapes and a partial stamp …Ν….. | …ΩΝΟ…..), and two Late Hellenistic bronze Athenian coins (figs. 1-4).
