NAUPAKTOS - 2001

Naupaktos, Varnarrachi (Althaia Street). F. Saranti (then Στ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery, during excavation on the property of S. Karametou, of 12 Late Roman tombs (simple pits and tile graves, mostly without goods), densely packed in cuttings in the bedrock. The corner of a structure, perhaps a tomb or peribolos, of large blocks was also found: to the north of it, a stone mound extended to the northern boundary of the plot.
