Zakro region. S. Chrysoulaki (ΚΔ' ΕΠΚΑ) reports on further research in 2000, focused in three areas.
Study of the pottery from the ‘Sea-Fort’ at Karoumes revealed three principal periods of activity, in Middle Minoan II, Late Minoan IB and the second century AD (the latter two producing evidence of destructions with much associated pottery).
