En 1994, la fouille d'un vaste terrain destiné à la construction de logements ouvriers a révélé des vestiges d'une villa suburbana d'époque romaine qui bordait probablement la route côtière de Patras à l'ancienne Dymè, ainsi que plusieurs tombes à tuiles et à ciste qui ont livré des monnaies et des unguentaria en verre.
