Salamis - 2007

Salamis, Ag. Kyriaki Street and Areti Street. Triadafyllia Kattoula (ΚΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on discoveries unearthed during works undertaken for the construction project of Salamis’ sewage treatment network. A grave was discovered at this location in a pit of diameter 1.70m and depth 3.80m. 11 bones were identified, both human and animal, including long bones and skulls. At the bottom of the grave, there were fragments of burnt bone. At 2m into the pit there was a possible burial oriented NS, with a few sherds of the Early Helladic period.
