Saravali - 2010

Saravali, 8 Mylou St (property of Sp. Stephanopoulos). Lamprini Papakosta (ΣΤ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of remains of what was probably a Roman workshop. A rectangular cistern with 3 successive levels was found. A wall in the middle of the E section of the cistern was also located. The S side of this wall was built according to the opus reticulatum technique. Two rectangular structures were attached at its N extreme on both sides. To the S of one of these structures a fragment of pithos was discovered in situ. Among the small finds are 2 loom weights and a Roman bronze coin.
