AGHIOS DIMITRIOS, Tataki and Klearchou - 2009

Aghios Dimitrios, Tataki 7-9 and Klearchou (O.T.373, property of M. Kanale and G. Lochaiti Co.) Eirini Anagnostopoulou (B’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of three walls and numerous rock-cuttings (Fig. 1). It is possible that this was a Classical quarry, because the stones used for one of the walls appear to have been extracted from the area of the cuttings (Fig. 2). Small finds include undecorated pottery sherds, few black-glazed sherds, 2 loom weights, a 4^th c. B.C. lekanis (Fig. 3), a bronze coin, a bronze hoop, a seashell, a glass sherd and a marble fragment.
