PIRAEUS - 31 Fragiadon St. - 2009

Piraeus, 31 Fragiadon St. (property of O.S.K). K. Axioti (ΚΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of a road and a late Classical building. The road runs on the E-W axis. The building consists of an entrance hallway which leads to a courtyard and two rooms on either side of the hallway. Both rooms are interpreted as workshops. A rock-cut drain and two cisterns are joined via a rock-cut shaft in the first room. A bell-shaped cistern lies in the second room. Two more drains were found in the vicinity of the building.
