TAVROS-Martiou, Thessalonikis and Teo Streets - 2007

Tavros, 25^th of Martiou, Thessalonikis and Teo Streets (property of Lidl Hellas and Co.). M. Petritaki (ΚΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of a Classical building with a N-S orientation. The building consists of four rooms and contained numerous small finds indicating a period of use from the late 5^th c. B.C. until Roman times. Room 4 contained a destruction layer with late 5^th-early 4^th c. B.C. pottery sherds. Some of these sherds belong to 10 red-figure lekythoi. The function of the building is unknown. Finally, a road was excavated to its south.
