Description
Agios Georgios (property of A. Kolovou and A. Kazana). F. Saranti (ΛΣτ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports investigation of a large mound of fieldstones and cobbles (6.5x3.7m), which may be a deliberate construction although evidence is inconclusive. The pottery recovered was mostly plainware with a very little black glaze: chronology is therefore imprecise, although a pre-Classical date is inferred. To the east was a stream channel which had been closed off with a rough stone wall in antiquity.
