Description
Kassiani Lazari (Ephorate of Antiquities of Thesprotia) reports on the discovery of three graves at the Roman archaeological site in Zavali Ladochoriou.
Excavation to the south of the grave monument’s south wall revealed a burial inside a large amphora, at a depth of 0.50m. The amphora contained the skeleton of an adult in supine extended position with head positioned to W. No grave goods. 4th century AD. Two tile graves were also discovered to the south and east of the grave monument, at a depth of 0.30-0.50m. Each grave contained a skeleton in supine extended position. No grave goods.
