Kalderimi Kranoulas
Kranoula - Kalderimi. Vasiliki Giannaki and Anastasia Giovanopoulou (Ephorate of Antiquities of Ioannina) report on the excavation of a Roman villa.
The remains of a building measuring 13 x 9m had already been unearthed in 2012, and between December 2014 and July 2015 the full limits of the building were uncovered, comprising 758 sq m. The building was oriented in a NW-SE direction around a Γ-shaped plan, with baths located in the SW part. Its form is characteristic of the second century AD. Excavation so far has revealed a tablinum, cubiculum and triclinium in the E part of the villa, and to the E various rooms of the baths: apodyterium, frigidarium, caladium and sudatorium.
ADelt 70 (2015), Chr., 786–9.
