Nea Kephissia. Theodora Georgousopoulou (Ephorate of Antiquities of West Attica) reports the following:
In 2002, during the works for the construction of Kymis Avenue that links the Kephissia junction of the National Road to the Olympic village, salvage excavations under- taken by the former 2nd Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities unearthed two pits filled with pottery that dates to the Early Helladic II period. The variety of pottery unearthed belongs to shapes associated with food and drink activities, and includes several intact vessels.
