Karyotes, property of Agg. Georgakis, Lefkada. Vivian Staikou (ΛΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of 31 graves.

Of the graves, 17 were pits, 4 sarcophagi, 6 tiled roof graves, 3 pithos graves, and one clay larnax, with no regular formation between one another (Fig. 1). The depth of graves ranged between a few centimetres to 1.30m. The majority of graves were dated by pottery grave goods (skyphoi, kylikes, lekythoi, oinochoai, figurines) to the fifth century BC. 

A large number of worked stone pieces of the Middle and Upper Palaeolithic were also found at the excavation.
