Nydri, Boleika plot - 2008

Nydri, Boleika plot. Maria Gatsi and Vivian Staikou (ΛΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) report on discoveries made during the construction of a new road in the Ellomeno region.

A cemetery of the Early Helladic / Mid Helladic period was found (Fig. 1), including seven cist graves (Fig. 2), one pithos burial (Fig. 3), and four other possible pits. Most graves were empty. One cist contained some pottery vessels, two bronze pieces, eleven stone arrowheads, and a bronze dagger.

Some curved stone structures were also investigated, but they do not seem to be related to the graves.
