Property of M. Fouros, Kalligoni, Lefkada - 2008

Property of M. Fouros, Kalligoni, Lefkada. Maria Gatsi and Vivian Staikou (ΛΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) report on further excavation of a small domestic structure first excavated in 2004–2005. 

Five further walls were identified, defining to further areas of the S, N and E, all parts of the house in the Hellenistic period. In Room A (Fig. 1), a floor of fine gravel and mortar was discovered, in the form of a mosaic 2.5 x 2.5m. Large quantities of pottery were collected, including 57 terracotta objects, 14 bronze coins, other metal small finds and six bone beads.
