En 1997, un nouveau site antique a été repéré au lieu-dit Vourlias, situé à 300 m environ de la côte. Au cours d'une brève campagne de fouille, on a mis au jour des vestiges architecturaux datant de la période tardo-romaine. AD 52 (1997) [2002] Β'1, p. 310 [A. Sotiriou].
