En 1998, près de ce village (commune de Delvinaki), sur les flancs de la colline d'Haghia Paraskévi, on a repéré des vestiges d'époque romaine (restes de murs, fragments de vases et de tuiles). À Mavropoulo on avait jadis signalé une forteresse antique, mais son emplacement exact n'est pas connu. AD 53 (1998) [2004] B'2, p. 518 [E.Adam].
