Report
Platanovrisi. Vasileios Argyropoulos (ΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the excavation of a roughly circular ceramic kiln with an interior and exterior diameter of 2.90 m. and 3.30 m. respectively, preserved to a height of 1.55 m. The combustion area was below ground while the internally plastered firing chamber was above. Within the chamber was a bench of 0.30 m. in width, on which the pots were placed. Close to the kiln were the remains of two separate destruction layers containing pottery and other objects attributed to the Classical period.
