Report
Eparchia of Patras, Ano Soudenaiika, Agios Konstantinos (property of A. Skouta). Vasileios Argyropoulos (ΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of architectural remains of three single roomed buildings which may have belonged to the same larger complex (Fig. 1). Building 1 was located in the north-eastern part of the area and was uncovered over an area of just 4 sq. m. as it continued into the adjacent property. Made of three courses of local stone with mortar, it was located approximately 3.50 m. east of the previously excavated apsidal building 2. This latter building was aligned on a N-S axis, preserved only as foundations and had an apse which was internally lined with plaster. Building 3 consisted of two partially preserved walls and was located about 12 m. west of Building 1. Pottery of the Classical period was collected as well as loom-weights and an anthropomorphic figurine.
