Megara, Grammos Street. Andromachi Katopodi (Γ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on discoveries made during a major project for the environmental upgrade of Megara city, undertaken 2006–2009.
A number of walls were excavated, found to sit on a floor of sand and gravel and thought to relate to a ‘monumental’ building. At this level, the excavators found pieces of Doric capitals, two bronze coins, and a clay skyphos. Finds were dated to the Late Classical / Early Hellenistic period.
