Report
Megara, Stratigos Street (property of Papathanasios). Eirini Svana (Γ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of five graves.
Grave 1: sarcophagus, measuring 2.15 x 0.8m, oriented EW and containing five skeletons. Three vessels were found inside (of which one was a black painted lekythos, and another a lamp), and one iron buckle.
Grave 2: cist grave, measuring 1.10 x 0.83m. Two skeletons were found inside, and a lekythos.
Grave 3: sarcophagus, measuring 2.20 x 0.83m, oriented NS. One skeleton was found inside, and a single coin.
Grave 4: No bones.
Grave 5: Cist grave. There was one skeleton, in supine position oriented EW, and a second skeleton with its head to the S of the grave.
