Megara, Intersection of Alepochorios Street and Thiva Street (O.T. 623). Eirini Svana (Γ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the excavation of two graves.
Grave 1 was a cist grave oriented SE-NW, with dimensions 1.96 x 0.88m. It was covered with three stone slabs. There were remains of two individuals inside, and grave goods included two oinochoai, a lamp, and a silver coin from Aegina.
Grave 2 was also a cist, oriented N-S. Much of the grave’s contents had been subject to illegal excavation, but a Hellenistic skyphos sherd was recovered.
