Report
Ampelakia, Archimandritis Kotsikows Street (O.T. 84, property of N. Billias). Andromachi Kapetanopoulou (ΚΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of a 12.3m section of wall, dating to the Hellenistic period. Adjacent, there was a large ellipsoid pit (4.8 x 2.7m), containing many small stones, pieces of tile, and unpainted coarse pottery(including lechanes, amphoras, and pithoi). These are thought to date to the fourth century BC. Five loomweights were also collected.
