Alimos - 2009

Alimos, 13 Vallianos Street (O.T. 5, plot of Arg. Argiropoulou and ΣΙΑ ΕΕ). Styliani Psarri (ΚΣΤ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on excavation of the ancient road, oriented NE and 15m in length. Its width ranged between 1.65m and 2.35m.  To the N, the road was enclosed by a mound, of preserved height 0.12-0.63m. Deep grooves in the rocks indicate that wheeled vehicles once went over the road. Three overlapping ancient pavements were also identified, comprising principally small stones.
