Report
Piraeus, Palaia Kokkinia, Thebon 115-117 and Roumelis (property of D. Bakirtzoglou). Georgios Spyropoulos (ΚΣΤ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of a Late Geometric cemetery. 6 inurned cremations, 1 tile grave (which contained no finds and could be Late Roman), burials in pithoi and pit graves were found. The pit graves were shallow and had a N-S orientation (Fig. 1). Finds from the graves include black-figure lekythoi, aryballoi, skyphoi, figurines of seated women, and figurines of horses and riders (Figs. 2, 3). Their decoration dates the vases to the end of the Geometric period and the beginning of the Orientalising.
