Report
Metamorphosi, Loggos, V. Hugo 7-9 (O.T. 54, property of Pattakou Bros.). Dora Georgousopoulou (B’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of a drain, a pyre, walls and a Hellenistic building complex (Fig. 1). The pi-shaped drain is rock-cut (Figs. 2, 3) and contained few black-glazed and plain ware sherds as well as two iron foils (Fig. 4). The drain cuts through the pyre, which contained only two pottery sherds (Fig. 5).
Two rubble walls were found at the SE part of the plot. Two loom weights, and black-glazed and plain ware sherds were recovered from the area of these walls. Finally, a Hellenistic building was excavated consisting of four rubble walls (Fig. 6). A square structure with a well in the middle was found on the NE part of this building (Figs. 7, 8). A drain was built in the wall next to the well (Fig. 9). The building appears to have been a farmstead with an open courtyard with a well and a drain.
