LAGONISI, Koulouras islet - 2008

Lagonisi, Koulouras Islet. Anthi Ntova(B’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of numerous remains covering the entire area of the islet. Specifically, walls, cairns and numerous Mycenaean, other prehistoric, and Classical pottery sherds were found. In addition a wall constructed from rectangular boulders indicates that the islet was fortified. A tile grave was excavated on the shore facing the islet. The tiles used for the grave were Laconian.
