Report
Chalandri, Patima II, Danais, Anonymous and Tinou Streets (O.T. 2, property of N. Katsaounis & Sons Co.) and Nestou (O.T. 57, property of P. Mitsea). Theodora Tzeferi (B’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of a 4th c. B.C. farmstead belonging to the ancient deme of Phlya (Fig. 1). Three rooms were excavated built with rubble walls (Figs. 2, 3, 4, 5). Five walls and remains of floors indicate that the three-room complex extended further to the N and NW. Finds from the area include a large number of laconian roof tiles, plain ware and coarse ware sherds, numerous sherds from beehives (Figs. 6, 7), few black-glazed sherds and three terracotta loom weights.
The excavation in the first plot was conducted by the author of the report under the supervision of M. Pologiorgi and in the second plot by D. Dritsa under the supervision of M. Pologiorgi.
