KIFISSIA, Deligianni and Georganta Streets - 2008

Kifissia, Deligianni and Georganta (O.T. 71, property of Marouli – Ionios Co.). P. Zoubelou (B’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of three 5^th c. B.C. child burials. The first was in a tile grave which also contained 6 lekythoi dating in the second half of the 5^th c. (Fig. 1). The other two were cremations in pithoi (Fig. 2). One pithos contained 4 black-figure lekythoi and a plate dating in the beginning of the 5^th century. A wall and a well were also found in the area. The wall appears to predate the burials.
