Report
Kifissia, Arkadiou and Bouboulinas (O.T. 717, property of M. and E. Zitti). P. Zoubelou (B’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on the discovery of a 4th c. B.C. rural sanctuary. It consisted of a rectangular building measuring 1.80x1.40 metres, and strong retaining walls supporting terraces around this (Figs. 1, 2). The walls were built with polygonal masonry, the entrance was on the east, and a built bench ran along the interior of its west wall. Two building phases were identified.
Lids from beehives, coarse ware sherds, a black-glazed kantharos and few undecorated sherds were found inside the building. Beehive sherds, coarse ware sherds, black-glazed kantharoi and skyphoi were excavated from the terraces.
