Dans la Chora d’Astypalaia, M. Michalaki-Kollia (XXIIe éphorie des antiquités préhistoriques et classiques) a poursuivi en 2007 la fouille de sauvetage sur le terrain de la société Phoivos (ex Kominéa), situé dans la nécropole de Kylindra. La fouille a mis au jour 125 nouveaux enchytrismes datant entre la période archaïque et hellénistique.
