Report
Prevedos (property of D. Koumanioti). L. Papacosta (Στ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of 12 tile graves and a cist grave (of tile and cement) arranged in three groups, all but one of which were missing the top (cover) level and contained disturbed skeletal material. Three (VII, XI and the cist XIII) contained displaced burials. The graves formed part of a wider cemetery of burial enclosures (the walls of which are poorly preserved). Very few grave offerings were recovered, but four coins and mostly Hellenistic-Roman sherds were found outside and to the north of cist XIII. East of the tombs were three walls on the same north-south orientation: two, in parallel, defined a 0.74m wide space containing many Hellenistic sherds. These walls were likely linked to the use of the cemetery.
