Report
Ovrya, Androutsou Street (property of K. Makri). L. Papacosta (Στ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of a 22.4m-long stretch of the stylobate of a monumental building (limestone blocks preserving clamps and clamp settings) which continues onto the neighbouring Monastirioti property. Byzantine/Late Byzantine remains located to the west-northwest comprise a block from a monumental building and three later walls. Further investigation revealed a destruction layer (of tile and unworked stones) and two round cisterns, with nearby three walls of a room (in tile, stone and cement), plus two stone walls 4m to the west. Four Byzantine tile graves were found at the eastern edge of the plot (continuing onto the neighbouring property).
