VARSANAS, Marmara - 2005

Varsanas, Marmara (property of S. Golemi, P. Meleti and Th. Tsovili). M. Stavropoulou-Gatsi (Director emerita, ΛΣτ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of part of two ancient buildings (respectively 7x7m and 10x12m as preserved) with a destruction layer of tile and unworked stones, plus three tile graves (one of which contained goods – a pair of bronze earrings), on a property on the lower slopes of Mt Veloutsa beside the road from Astakos to Mytikas.
