Report
Kastro Ano Diakoptou (ancient Boura?). E.-I. Kolia (Στ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of building foundations and retaining walls (some built into modern structures), plus much pottery on the surface. Tile graves were found in the area of the modern cemetery. Above the modern village, next to the church of Agios Athanasios, cuttings in the bedrock were likely for ancient buildings, noting that the church walls contain many spolia and part of a painted terracotta sima is kept inside it, which implies a temple in the vicinity.
On the border of the villages of Kastro and Katholiko, in a vineyard next to the church of the Agioi Apostoloi, a large millstone, walls and much pottery preserved on the surface may come from a farmstead.
A looted cist tomb was reported south of the road from Agioi Apostoloi to the church of Agios Georgios.
