Report
Nemea (Koutsomodi), Agia Sotira (land of P. Tobrou). E. Pappi (Δ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of a chamber tomb from the cemetery of Mycenaean Tsoungiza, with a long dromos (9.5m, with niches in the wall close to the stomion) and an oval chamber (2.7x3.2m). A pit dug in the chamber floor by the east wall contained bones and grave goods. Numerous burials were found, none in anatomical position, accompanied by vases, Phi and Psi figurines, conical steatite spindle whorls and a bronze knife. A pit at the south end of the dromos contained a further burial without grave goods. Finds date the use of the tomb to Late Helladic IIIA and B.
