ARGOS - 2001

Argos, Karaoli and Dimitriou Streets (O.T. 107-111, property of I. Kalantzi). A. Banaka-Dimaki (Δ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of a 10m-long stretch of wall running northeast-southwest at a depth of 3.07m below street level. The wall continued beyond the plot, and despite the poor preservation and shortage of portable finds, may be associated with a fourth-century to Hellenistic road on the same orientation found just to the southwest of the Kalantzi excavation.
