Report
Ancient Corinth, Kraneio (property of A. Marini). P. Kasimi (Δ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports the discovery of adjunct, service rooms/open areas belonging to a small second-century AD bath complex. The brick-clad walls, of high quality, were founded either on bedrock or on large limestone foundations.
Earlier occupation is shown by two first-century BC wells sunk into bedrock, and by pieces of coloured plaster from house interiors. These wells fell into disuse at the end of the century, and refuse (largely first-century BC terracotta lamps) was dumped in them.
Pottery dates from the Classical to Middle Roman period (third-century AD).
