Sur l’île de Chalki, sur la route entre Emborio et Katsia, K. Baïrami (XXIIe éphorie des antiquités préhistoriques et classiques) a mené en 2001 une fouille de sauvetage au lieu-dit Koukiali et mis au jour deux tombes à chambre comportant quelques os et des tessons de céramique commune.
