Report
Sampas (Pediada). K. Galanaki (ΚΓ’ ΕΠΚΑ) reports on discoveries made at the locality known alternately as Vorno, Pyrgos or Prophitis Ilias. Bronze Age remains belonged to two phases. The first (Early Minoan II) produced few building remains but plenty of pottery, obsidian and bone eyelets. The second (Middle Minoan I-II) consisted of two well-constructed walls running east-west, and a large amount of pottery (kadoi are particularly noted).
